As we reflect on the past year, I am thrilled to share some incredible news regarding our performance in 2023. Despite facing numerous challenges, MVP Realty has once again demonstrated its resilience and excellence in the real estate industry.
In 2023, MVP Realty closed an impressive $2,216,342,460 in sales volume, marking only a 7% decrease from the previous year. While this slight dip can be attributed to factors such as rising mortgage interest rates, increased homeowners insurance premiums, and various industry challenges, it's important to recognize the remarkable achievement this figure represents in such a dynamic market.
Furthermore, our closed transactions totaled 6,031 throughout the year, showing a decrease of only 2.9% compared to our 2022 pace. This is particularly noteworthy considering that 2022 was hailed as one of the greatest real estate years in history. In comparison, our closest two competitors at the Naples Area Board of Realtors and Royal Palm experienced significant declines ranging from 13% to 35%.
I am also proud to announce that out of 1,911 real estate offices in Southwest Florida, MVP Realty offices ranked #2 and #3 for closed transactions. Additionally, our MVP Realty office ranked #2 for closed sales at the Naples Area Board of Realtors and #1 for closed transactions and sales volume at the Royal Palm Coast Realtor Association in Fort Myers.
But that's not all! I am excited to share that at the Stellar MLS, MVP Realty made a massive impact in 2023 by closing nearly 1,000 properties as a company, amounting to more than $270 million in sales volume. In one market area, Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda, MVP Realty was ranked the #1 independent real estate office at that board for closed transactions. These achievements further underscores our position as a leader in the overall Florida real estate market.
In the luxury properties segment, MVP Realty achieved a remarkable feat, ranking #8 for closed sales over $1 million in Southwest Florida out of 1,911 offices.
